Construction underway on the new care home at Springfield Village

Contractor Lawrence Baker is progressing well with the new care home facility for Brendoncare on plot H (click here for plot plan) of the Springfield site.

Works over the coming month include:

• Completion of the site set up: welfare and office units

• Completion of the excavation and concreting to the west wing foundations

• Build and completion of the steel structure for the retaining wall in the foundations of the west wing

• Spoil removal to allow access to continue with excavations of the east wing

• Forming of the crane base and erection of the crane

• Commencement of the first foundation blockwork
