What an amazing day - Springfield Village Summer Party 2025

We were delighted to celebrate the official opening of Springfield Park on Wednesday - 🌳 London’s largest new green space since 2012 Olympics.

We were joined by many including South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust, Sadiq Khan, Council Leader Simon Hogg, Tooting Leader Dr Rosena Allin Khan, our construction partner Sir Robert McAlpine, our development partners - City & Country, Barratt London and London Square, friends at Fircroft Primary School, Service Users, new Pavilion Café owners - Toaststores, Springfield Village residents and local community members 🥳

London Mayor Sadiq Khan officially opened Springfield Park along with pupils from Fircroft Primary School, by unveiling a plaque and planting the 700th tree 🌳 at Springfield Village. A beautiful 32-acre public green space part of Springfield Village. Delivered by STEP, our 50/50 joint venture with Kajima Partnerships Limited.

The wider £150m regeneration includes:
🏡 1,288 new homes (33% affordable)
🏥 Two new NHS mental health facilities
🌿 A care home, public square, shops, cafés, and more
🎨 One of the NHS’s largest-ever art programmes

💬 Mayor of London Sadiq Khan called the park “a symbol of community, inclusion, and progress.”

💬 Harriet Gladwell-Phillips, Project Lead for the Springfield and Tolworth Estate Partnership (STEP), the Trust’s #development partner, said: “Springfield Park is a shining example of what can be achieved when healthcare, community, and nature come together. We are proud to have supported South West London and St George’s and the London Borough of Wandsworth in creating a park that not only enhances mental health and wellbeing but also enriches the local neighbourhood.”

We’re also proud to support the Springfield Park Community Fund, offering up to £75k over the next three to five years to local #community groups. More information on this to follow.
