A look ahead for March 2024

Hospital Buildings (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)

  • Both Hospital Buildings are open for use.

Civil and Infrastructure (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)

  • The park (area B) is open.

  • Public access is opened on Springfield Drive and Chapel Square.  Car parks in the new hospitals are open.

  • The entrance to Burntwood Lane is OPEN for both vehicle and pedestrian access.

  • Park area A is nearing completion with the Belvedere and pathways being finished.  Soft landscaping is progressing, with completion mid Spring 2024.  5-11 play equipment has commenced.  The pavilion works is progressing with fit out works, MEP and timber façade. 

  • Harewood House plot to be handed over to the House Developer this month.

  • Park C works will commence again, now that Hemiko have installed the district heating pipework.  Play equipment and soft landscaping to progress.

  • District heating works down to X,Y,Z plot is progressing.

  • Road 4; Lapidge Drive is completed and open for access to everyone.

  • The last substation within the development is progressing outside Phoenix Building.

Next phase of new build residential - Plots B-E and L&M (delivered by Barratt London)

  • D2C Occupations started in December 23, ongoing though February 24

  • E1 parcel now fully occupied or sold

  • E2 parcel district heating is now live

  • E2 internal fit progressing, currently 35 units are painted with commissioning and carpets ongoing

  • E2 Court yard play area is complete and soft landscaping due to start, works to the front now 805 complete with tarmac due towards the end of March

  • D1A 2nd floor slab installed brick and blockwork to level 2 to commence

  • D1B, scaffold strike to start mid-March

  • D1C 2nd floor and low level roof joist expected to commence Mid-March

  • D2B 2nd floor and low level roof joist expected to commence end of March

  • D2A ground floor brick and blockwork in progress 2nd floor concrete slab expected at the end of March

  • D parcel road base cause is complete

Conversion of listed main building to residential - Plot S (delivered by City & Country)

  • Structural alteration works ongoing to the Engineering Block and Boiler House.

  • Scaffold erection and adaptions.

  • Structural alterations and repairs.

  • Roofing works to Boiler house, Engineering Tower, Dormitory block and Orchid Wing.

  • Re-Facing of brickwork elevations.

  • Masonry repairs and cleaning.

  • Window refurbishment

  • Steelwork and floor construction to Engineering tower.

  • Commence fit out to Engineering Tower

  • Internal fit out ongoing to Kitchen Block’ area.

  • Test and commissioning

  • Finals and Inspections to the Kitchen Block apartments

  • Handovers and completions within kitchen block

  • Internal fit out to Dormitory wing

  • Scaffold Strike to various areas
