Upcoming consultation on Springfield Park and public realm

We would like to invite you to attend our upcoming three-day community consultation event at the end of January 2018. This is an opportunity for local residents to meet the STEP team and find out more about our next steps to progress the masterplan.

The comprehensive masterplan for the site, which is being referred to as Springfield Village, will become a vibrant community where healthcare facilities are integrated with new community, residential and commercial uses – helping to remove the stigma attached to mental health treatment.

Importantly, the first stages of the masterplan delivery will include the new 32-acre Springfield Park alongside the new hospital. Building on the public consultation carried out for the Park Strategy in 2015, we would like to showcase the detailed plans and further understand your views on how the park can meet the needs of the community.
